As I'm getting ready to start a new season of songwriting, I've been going through some old songs to see if I left anything unfinished and looking for some I might want to revive for the live set. I completely forgot I wrote this song. Weird, right? I couldn't find the chord chart and lyrics for a good hour or so because I had it listed under "The End is Near" and not "No Secret". I don't think it will make the live set but I really like this one. I was playing around in an alternate tuning and then remember this sort of spilled out. The only thing I can recall about writing it is wanting to get through a particular situation in my life and it's kind of funny because I wrote this in 2014 and it took a few more years for me to feel like I finally broke free. "Here's to making it painfully clear..."
